We work very hard to ship everything in 1 business day. By "business day," we mean that if a product is ordered on Thursday evening it will ship no later than Friday evening. If it's ordered on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, it will ship on Monday.
Products ordered before 2pm (Eastern) will ship on the same day they were ordered (Mon-Fri).
Free Shipping in Continental USA
All orders in the continental USA (except Hawaii/Alaska) are eligible for free shipping.
This shipping will be best way ground, via USPS or FedEx. Customers typically receive orders withing 2-5 business days, but it can take up to 8 in some instances.
These will vary depending on your location - and at certain times of year USPS can take longer due to increased volume and limited transportation availablity. Here is an explanation of the services we offer:
For orders within the USA:
2 - 8 Days USPS (our cheapest option) - delivered 2 - 8 business days from leaving our warehouse. For customers in Alaska or Hawaii, this service takes 3 weeks.
2-3 Days USPS First Class Mail (available for smaller packages only) - delivered within 2 - 3 business days from leaving our warehouse.
2-3 Days USPS Priority - delivered within 2 - 3 business days from leaving our warehouse.
1-5 Days (Tue-Sat) - FedEx Ground Home Delivery - delivered on Tuesdays through Saturdays within 1 - 5 days from leaving our warehouse.
2 Days FedEx - delivered within 2 - 8 business days from leaving our warehouse.
Overnight USPS (Express Mail) - delivered the next day (Monday to Saturday) from leaving our warehouse.
Overnight FedEx - delivered the next business day from leaving our warehouse, by 3pm to most addresses or 4.30pm to rural areas.
For orders outside the USA:
USPS (First Class Mail International) - delivered within 7 - 21 business days from leaving our warehouse.
6-10 Business Days - USPS (Priority Mail International) - delivered within 6 - 10 business days from leaving our warehouse.
3-5 Business Days - USPS (Express Mail International) - delivered within 3 - 5 business days from leaving our warehouse.
2-5 Business Days - FedEx (International Economy) - delivered within 2 - 5 business days from leaving our warehouse.
1-3 Business Days - FedEx (International Priority) - delivered within 1 - 3 business days from leaving our warehouse.
Although we say above a blanket cutoff time for Christmas Shipping, we do this for simplicity's sake. Here are the exact cutoff times:

Returns and Refunds Policy
You may return new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for full store credit. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). We must receive delivery of returned item before replacement will be shipped. Regrettably we cannot accept returns or offer refunds on personalized engraved items, or on the downloaded version of Matilda's Fantastic Cookbook Software. CookbookPeople.com assumes no responsibility for customer data entry errors or ordering errors. All goods MUST be inspected upon receipt.

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
Items lost or damaged in transit by shipping providers or stolen on arrival, or late on arrival due to delay by said shipping providers are outside the control of our company and are not the responsibility of CookbookPeople.com
