The Cookbook Holder features two acrylic sheets to protect pages from the splatters of cooking and to make the book stand upright. The birch hardwood base is slotted so that it adjusts to fit cookbooks of all sizes (half page, full page, big books), and it looks great next to oak cabinets and furnishings.
I like that it's light weight--even with a little arthritis I can easily hold it in one hand.
